My friends laughed at me when I said that I was going to buy another truck online. They were there when I “got burned” the first time. But I had a secret this time…www.rmctrader.com. Before I told my friends about the escrow company, let me tell you about learning a lesson.

I’d been to dealerships and used car lots looking for a truck to use on my ranch. Nothing fit my purposes, so I started looking online. It wasn’t long until I found what I needed. According to the seller, it had some cosmetic damage, but he’d just put in a new engine. He stated that he had the TommyLift on the back inspected and it worked “just fine.” We agreed on a price, then he said he needed half of that as a deposit, so he wouldn’t “sell it to anyone else.” He wanted a cashier’s check, made out to someone else.  When I questioned him on that, he said that his sister was getting the money…he didn’t really need it. He was just trying to help her out. He sounded sincere and I guess I sounded stupid enough to do it. I sent several thousand dollars to the sister and waited. And waited. After numerous phone calls, the seller assured me he would be in front of my house with the truck before 9 p.m. that evening.

Well, he was there, as promised. And he was towing the truck. When I asked him why he needed to tow it, he said the battery had died. He rolled it off the trailer and told me to take a couple of days to look it over and drive it around. He’d be in touch for the rest of the money, if I liked the truck. The next morning, I went out to inspect it. Oh, there was a TommyLift alright…right there in the truck bed, not installed as the tailgate. And “some cosmetic damage” turned out to be rust, dents, missing windows, and torn seats. The truck wouldn’t start, even with jumper cables. Turns out there was no gas in it, and hadn’t been for quite some time. I finally got it running…for about 20 minutes. Then it died forever.

I probably don’t have to tell you that I couldn’t find the seller. The police took a report, but told me not to expect much. Guys like this con artist were very difficult to find “after the fact.”

You can understand why my friends were laughing. Then I told them my secret…www.rmctrader.com, an escrow company that would protect me and the seller. The process was easy, following a few simple steps.  I would be getting exactly what was advertised, the owner would be verified, and the money would be safe until everyone the sale was done. I wasn’t going into my next purchase “blind.”

I found a truck and the seller was happy to use rmctrader.com. An honest man has no problem working with a trustworthy third party.
